DNS Record Creation with External DNS

This section describes how to use external-dns to maintain your DNS records

When you set up a custom domain for your cluster, you require a DNS record that maps the configured domain or IP address to the cluster’s ingress. You can either create one manually, or set up the external-dns service to manage your DNS record automatically.

If you choose to use external-dns to maintain your DNS records, the external-dns will take care of pointing the DNS record to the ingress of the cluster automatically.

Select one of the following options to configure the external-dns service for Management/Essential clusters, or for Managed/Attached clusters:

If you choose to create a DNS record manually, finish installing the Kommander component, and then manually create a DNS record that points to the load balancer address.
