NKP 2.12.0 Known Issues and Limitations

The following items are known issues with this release:

vSphere and Ubuntu using Konvoy Image Builder Issue

Building a Konvoy Image Builder (KIB) image on vSphere using Ubuntu 20.04 with cloud-init 23.3.3-0ubuntu0~20.04.1 will fail in the 2.12.0 version of NKP. The issue will be resolved in an upcoming KIB patch release.
NCN-102002

The cluster-autoscaler deployment needs to exist in the same namespace as the cluster it references.

Running nkp move capi-resources --to-namespace=... with a different namespace for Nutanix clusters is not supported.

Calico Support for NKP Release 2.12.0

NKP deploys Calico as the CNI implementation on most infrastructures. NKP Release 2.12.0 includes Calico 3.28.0.

This release has a known issue that affects Linux distributions that run a variant of the Linux kernel version 5.4.0. The following table shows the affected Linux distributions among the ones NKP supports. For more information on the known issue, see https://github.com/projectcalico/calico/issues/8856 .

Affected clusters will see increased CPU utilization, as well as increased log volume from Calico.

The issue will be fixed in a future NKP patch release by upgrading the Calico version.

Custom Banner on Cluster is lost during an upgrade

If you used the ‘Custom Banner’ UI functionality in a previous version of NKP/DKP and then Upgrade to NKP 2.12, the Banner is lost during the upgrade and will need to be recreated.
